Found My Animal started with two Walters - both chihuahuas rescued in Brooklyn. Their owners, Bethany Obrecht and Anna Conway, bonded over their love for the fur babies. They wanted to share their passion with fellow dog parents globally. With a penchant for crafts and inspiration from a fisherman in the family, the two created their first leashes made with marine-grade rope, brass, and waxed canvas. A simple, numbered brass tag is unique to each leash that reads ‘FOUND.’ This simple message reflects the company's mission to promote animal adoption. To date, the company sold more than 117,000 of the numbered leashes. The pet line includes collars, harnesses, beds, bowls, and fashions for all your pets, including cats, dogs, horses, and even goats. Each purchase supports animal welfare and rescue organizations.
